Cold Brew is cold-brewed coffee, meaning coffee is brewed at or below room temperature. Thanks to being brewed for a long time at low temperatures, coffee processed using the Cold Brew method has a gentle flavor, not as harsh as filter or machine-brewed coffee. This process helps retain all the unique aroma and flavor of the coffee beans.
With wet-processed, high-quality Cau Dat Arabica coffee, your Cold Brew drink will have more cool and gentle flavors. We suggest you how to choose the roasting level as well as the grinding level to suit your preferences:
- The taste of cold brew coffee is determined by the quality of the coffee beans, so you should pay a lot of attention to choosing the coffee to buy. Choose wet processed Arabica for a cool and gentle flavor.
- The roast level also gives you other flavors such as the roast level between dark and medium will give a coldbrew flavor that is less sour and no longer astringent. While the roast between light and medium gives a sour fruit flavor, there is still a slight astringency from the coffee bean.
- The degree of grind also makes your drink have a different flavor, for example: if you grind coarsely, the flavor will be simpler, while if ground finely, the flavor will be finer and more complex. A coarse grind will have a simple sour flavor while a fine grind will have a more caramel and smoky flavor.
- During the coffee filtering step, do not use your hands to press down the coffee grounds to avoid making the coffee clear.
- Cold Brew coffee is best used within 7 days of being brewed. Don't leave it too long to lose the coffee flavor.
